Difference between hemp oil and CBD oil?
Both come from the hemp plant, but they’re not the same. CBD oil contains the active ingredient cannabidiol and is obtained from Flowers and leaves. Hemp oil, on the other hand, is pressed from the seeds and doesn’t contain CBD. It’s a valuable edible oil – but not comparable to the effect of CBD oil.

WHO assessment
The World Health Organization (WHO) stated in its official CBD report from 2018 that cannabidiol (CBD) should be considered safe. CBD shows no potential for abuse, is not addictive, and has a good safety profile. Of course, we share this view.
European Court of Justice ruling
With the European Court of Justice ruling from 19.11.2020 (Case C-663/18), the WHO’s position was confirmed and CBD was classified as not psychoactive. So, at the highest judicial level, it was established: CBD (cannabidiol) is not a narcotic or controlled substance.
Current legal situation in Germany 2024/2025
With the industrial hemp legislation 2024, the federal government has fundamentally modernized the legal framework for industrial hemp and CBD products in Germany. The previous abuse clause has been removed, which provides more legal certainty for retailers and consumers. Indoor cultivation of industrial hemp has also been approved, allowing for innovative growing methods.
