If you regularly deal with CBD products, you’ll quickly notice: you can’t just judge the “value” of a CBD oil by the price. Because why does one oil cost €25 and another over €80? We’ve been working for years with the quality, origin and processing of cannabidiol products – and from experience we can say: the real value is in the details. After this article, you’ll know:
- How the price is created!
- How to recognize good quality (spoiler – you’ll find it here in the shop)
What does the “value” of CBD oil actually mean?
For us, the value of a CBD oil starts where transparency and trust begin. We regularly check which products really deliver what they promise. A good oil is defined by tested ingredients, traceable origin and consistent quality. That should be viewed independently of any marketing.
Many customers believe that a higher price automatically means “better”. But that’s not always true. What really matters is how carefully the oil was produced. A 10% oil from CO₂ extraction and EU-certified hemp is often more valuable than a higher-dosed product of unknown origin.
How is the value of a CBD oil created?
Our experience shows: the most important factor is the hemp itself. In Europe, only certified industrial hemp varieties may be grown. That’s a good and important step. But not every farm works with the same precision. We only work with producers who guarantee freedom from pesticides and sustainable cultivation.
Then comes the extraction: high-quality oils are usually made using CO₂ extraction. This method is technically demanding but very effective. The final product contains pure cannabidiol, terpenes and valuable plant compounds, without any solvent residues.
Also crucial: lab analyses. We have every partner provide us with current analysis certificates. Only when these clearly show that the THC content is below 0.3% and that there are no contaminants does the oil make it into our range.
Here are the typical 14 production steps. There’s a lot of manual work involved:
-
Seed selection: Only EU-certified hemp varieties, carefully selected.
-
Cultivation: Sustainable, pesticide-free and looked after with real passion.
-
Harvest: Hand-harvested at the perfect time.
-
Drying: Gently dried to preserve aroma and active compounds.
-
Raw material testing: Every batch is tested for purity and quality.
-
Extraction: Gentle CO₂ technology is used to preserve the plant power.
-
Filtration & purification: Naturally filtered for a clear, pure extract.
-
Decarboxylation: Carefully heated so the CBD becomes active.
-
Blending: Combined in small batches with a high-quality carrier oil.
-
Terpene care: Natural aromas are preserved – for that real hemp taste.
-
Lab analysis: Independently tested for cannabinoid content and safety.
-
Bottling: Filled into dark glass, carefully labeled and sealed.
-
Storage: Kept cool, dry and protected from light to maintain freshness.
-
Shipping: Lovingly packed, checked and ready to be sent out.
Why the price differences are so big
Let’s compare it with chocolate. Both start with a plant, but only careful processing creates a true premium indulgence. You can buy it cheap or high-end, but the quality always depends on the ingredients.
Transferred to CBD oil, this means: an inexpensive oil can definitely be solid if it comes from mass production and contains fewer cannabinoids. A premium product, on the other hand, is usually the result of small batches, precise lab work and sustainable harvesting.
The biggest price factors are:
- Raw material quality: hemp from certified cultivation is more expensive but safer.
- Production method: CO₂ extraction costs more than chemical methods but delivers purer oil.
- CBD content: the higher the concentration, the more plant material is needed.
- Certifications & lab testing: every test generates costs – but it protects consumers.
A low price often reflects different priorities in production.
How we recognize a good CBD oil
After hundreds of tests and customer feedback, we’ve learned what you should look out for. We’d like to pass that on to you so you can spot the difference yourself:
- Clarity about ingredients: good oils openly list CBD content, carrier oil (usually hemp seed or MCT oil) and additives.
- Traceable origin: EU-certified industrial hemp is a must.
- Transparent lab reports: real quality can be recognized by published analyses.
- Packaging & storage: even though it’s in a glass bottle, the sensitive ingredients still need protection.
If you’re looking for a good entry-level product, you should choose a lab-tested oil of medium strength (10%), for example:
CBD oil compared to other products
Many newcomers start with oil – and often stick with it. Compared to other CBD products, dosing is especially precise with oil.
If you prefer the natural taste and the smoking experience, you’ll go for CBD Flowers. For everyone who wants a quick, discreet experience, CBD vapes are a good choice. And if you’re looking for something stronger, you’ll find it with CBD hash.
From our experience, CBD oil is still the most versatile product: it’s discreet, easy to take and ideal for finding your personal dose in everyday life.
Legal information and safety
A common misunderstanding concerns legality. CBD oil is legal in Germany as long as the THC content is below 0.3%. We make sure every product in the shop complies with these requirements.
Find your CBD OIL
After years of experience in the CBD market, we know this: the real value of a CBD oil lies in its transparency. If you're looking for quality, you should focus less on price comparisons and more on proof, lab reports, and origin. That way you can enjoy CBD oil not only safely, but also with a good feeling.
Here you'll find all CBD oils in the shop.
To wrap things up, common questions about CBD oil
Is an expensive CBD oil always better?
Not necessarily. A high price can be a sign of good quality, but it doesn’t have to be. What really matters is whether the manufacturer provides transparent lab reports and discloses where the hemp comes from and how it was extracted. A good oil stands out through transparency, consistency, and trust – not through ads or fancy packaging.
How can I tell a high-quality CBD oil?
A high-quality CBD oil shows its quality before you even open it. The label should clearly state the origin, CBD content, and ingredients. Serious manufacturers always provide a certificate of analysis – ideally as a QR code on the packaging. Look for EU-certified industrial hemp, CO₂ extraction, and a neutral carrier oil like MCT or hemp seed oil. If this information is missing, you should be cautious.
How long does CBD remain detectable in the body?
CBD can be detectable for different lengths of time depending on dosage, frequency of use, and individual factors. In blood, CBD is detectable for about 2–5 days, and in urine possibly for up to a week with regular use. With occasional use, CBD is usually completely broken down within 1–3 days.
How does the concentration affect the price?
The higher the CBD content, the more intensive the production effort. A 20% oil needs about four times as much hemp as a 5% oil. On top of that, extraction and homogenization get more complex – the oil has to stay stable even though it contains more active ingredient. So the price reflects not just the strength, but also the higher use of raw materials and energy.
